About us
Bússola do Trader is an independent editorial site about Pocket Broker — the nickname Brazilians give to the Pocket Option platform. We publish guides in English organised by subject: trust and regulation, access and account, app and platform, payments and withdrawals, trading and strategy.
We are not Pocket Broker. We are not Pocket Option, we have no shareholding link to the operator and we are not a licensed broker. We do not open accounts, we do not handle deposits or withdrawals and we have no access to any reader's account.
Who we write for
For the person who arrived from a search in English with a concrete question: is this platform trustworthy, how does a withdrawal work, is the app official, what does the CVM say about it. Our job is to answer that with the information that exists in a primary source, separating what is documented from what is chatter in a messaging group.
How the pages are made
Every guide starts from public documents, read directly at source:
- the platform's own pages — home page, About Us, Public Offer, Risk Disclosure and the payment-methods policy;
- the app's official store listing where it is published, with the developer's name and the package identifier;
- public publications and records from regulators, such as the CVM's alerts and its list of irregular activity.
It is also important to say what we do not do. We do not test the platform: we do not open a real account, we do not deposit, we do not withdraw and we do not time the support desk. When a text of ours describes a flow — login, identity verification, deposit, withdrawal — it describes what the platform's documentation says happens, not something the newsroom went through. Nor do we publish scores, awards, user counts or testimonials that we cannot verify.
Where a piece of information could not be confirmed, the text says exactly that and points to where the reader can check for themselves. We prefer an admitted gap to a rounded, fragile answer.
Numbers change — check them at source
Minimum amounts, processing times, lists of payment methods, fees and bonus conditions are set by the company and change without notice. Treat any figure published here as the reading of one specific date and confirm the current value on the platform's own pages before taking any decision based on it.
How often we review
The guides go into a quarterly review queue. The pages on regulation, payments and withdrawals sit on a shorter cycle, because they age faster. Corrections do not wait for the queue: if you find an error, write to the newsroom, we check it at source and adjust the page.
Who answers for the content
The site is edited by Renata Vasconcelos, Trading Platforms Editor, responsible for the editorial line, for checking the primary sources and for the final call on what goes into each guide and what stays out.
One note that runs through the whole site: Pocket Option itself states, on its pages, that it does not provide service to residents of Brazil, and in 2021 the CVM published an alert about the absence of authorisation, together with an order suspending public offering whose current force could not be confirmed. That is why our guides explain how the platform works but steer nobody towards opening an account.
