Pocket Broker as a Broker: What It Offers

What the broker delivers

The core product is a single one: short-term contracts on the price of an asset, with an expiry the user chooses. Around it sit a catalogue of more than a hundred assets, access surfaces and a chart.

It is worth starting with a correction of vocabulary, because it organises everything that follows. "Pocket Broker" is not a broker of that name: it is the nickname Brazilian traders gave to Pocket Option, a platform which, according to its own About Us page, has existed since 2017. One sign-up, one app, one catalogue — the page on the Pocket Option name explains the confusion in detail.

Fixed-time contracts

What the platform delivers is the trading of short contracts on the direction of a price, with the expiry set in the order itself and the result settled at the close. It is not a custody broker: you do not keep shares, currencies or cryptocurrencies after the trade. That distinction changes what it makes sense to expect from it — there is no investment portfolio to follow, there are contracts that open and close. The mechanics are described in how to trade.

Assets and markets

The site advertises more than a hundred global assets and names five categories: currencies, cryptocurrencies, shares, commodities and indices. It is a broad catalogue for the format, and its practical value lies less in the total than in the variety of hours — cryptocurrencies stay active at the weekend, shares depend on the calendar of their home exchange, currencies move around the market sessions. The specific list of instruments inside each category is not published in consolidated form on any official page, so treat any complete list you find on blogs as unconfirmed.

Chart and tools

The trading screen carries a chart and analysis tools, like any platform of the kind. What this guide does not do is list which indicators are available, how many there are or how they are configured: none of the official pages consulted — home page, About Us, Public Offer, Risk Policy and Payment Policy — publishes that catalogue. It is a small gap for someone who already trades and a relevant one for someone choosing the platform because of a specific tool, because there is no way to confirm in advance that it exists.

One product: short contracts on price, with no custody of the asset. More than a hundred assets advertised across five categories, and a chart whose tools appear catalogued on no official page.

Platform features

Features such as copy trading, educational material and an indicator library turn up constantly in third-party material. What the company publishes about them on its own pages is a good deal less than that.

This block is the most useful on the page precisely because it separates two things that usually arrive glued together: what is said about the platform and what the platform documents. An honest catalogue has to mark that line.

What the official documentation supports

  • Demo account. Confirmed, free and funded with virtual money; the official Android app listing describes it as an account that can be topped up.
  • Its own Android app. Published on Google Play under the package com.pocketoption.broker, with an identified developer and a recent update.
  • Browser access, direct APK and a Telegram bot. All three appear as access routes on the home page itself.
  • Written money rules. Minimum withdrawal, withdrawal currency, the verification requirement and processing times are set out in the Public Offer and the Payment Policy.
  • Localisation in fifteen languages. That is what the Android app listing states; which languages they are is not published there.

What circulates without official confirmation

Copy trading, tournaments, built-in signals, courses and indicator libraries are frequently described in videos, reviews and promotional material. None of the official pages consulted for this guide details those features — there is no product page specifying them, nor terms governing them. That does not mean they are absent from the screen; it means we cannot promise here how they work, who has access and under what conditions. If any of them is decisive for you, the check has to be made straight on the company's official pages, and not in an article — not least because a platform feature changes without notice.

Why the gap matters

An undocumented feature is a feature that can change without anyone being able to complain of a breach. It is the opposite of what happens with the minimum withdrawal and the withdrawal currency, which are written into a contractual document and can therefore be held to. When comparing platforms, that difference — between what is in the marketing and what is in the contract, tends to be worth more than the feature count.

The demo, the Android app, browser access and the money rules are documented. Copy trading, courses and indicator catalogues circulate without backing on any official page, and an undocumented feature can change without notice.

Account and access

Access is single and cross-platform: the same sign-up opens the browser and the app, and the account switches between the practice balance and the real one. There is no iOS or desktop version confirmed in an official source.

Here the catalogue becomes quite concrete, because the access surfaces are verifiable outside the company's own account of itself.

Telegram botListed among the access routesNo documentation of what it does
iPhone / App StoreNo official listing confirmedThe site publishes no link to Apple
Windows or macOS programNot confirmedWhat remains is the browser and the mobile app

The detail of the Android app carries weight beyond convenience: a listing in an official store, with a named developer and an update history, is one of the few elements verifiable outside the company's own site. The page on the app covers both mobile platforms.

Demo and real account in the same account

The practice environment and the real-money environment live in the same sign-up, switched with the balance selector. That is good for learning and it demands attention: confirming an order on the wrong balance is a trivial and expensive mistake, and checking the selector before each session costs two seconds. There is the free demo account for anyone who wants to get to know the screen with no money involved.

Language

The Android app listing states localisation in fifteen languages, without listing which. The 2021 CVM alert mentions the address pocketoption.com/pt, which indicates the existence of a Portuguese version, but no official page confirms the current state of that version, and the company itself states that it does not serve residents of Brazil, which makes the question about language less important than the question about access.

Browser, Android, APK and the Telegram bot are the documented routes; iOS and desktop have no official confirmation. The demo and the real account share the same sign-up, switched with the balance selector.

Strengths and weaknesses

The balance sheet is lopsided: what the platform documents about money is clear and verifiable, and what it does not document, regulator, licence, account tiers, is exactly what weighs most in a choice.

A catalogue is only useful if it records both columns. These are the two, without adjectives.

What the documentation supports

  • Cheap entry. The Public Offer mentions a minimum deposit of 0.1 dollars and the home page presents 5 dollars as the smallest deposit allowed, on any reading, a very low barrier to entry.
  • Written rules for getting money out. A minimum withdrawal of 10 dollars in the Public Offer, and withdrawal in the same currency as the corresponding deposit under the Payment Policy.
  • A declared position on fees. The company advertises 0% commission on deposits and withdrawals, and the methods page labels every option "Commission: 0%".
  • A defined identity check. Verification is mandatory, with specified documents and a period of 10 business days from the company's request, extendable to 30 days.
  • A traceable app. A listing in an official store with an identified developer, which is more than many platforms in the same niche offer.

What the company does not publish

  • Regulator and licence. No regulator is named and no licence number appears on the site. The Google Play listing speaks of "certified by international security licensing", a phrase that names no authority at all and is not a financial licence.
  • Account tiers. There is no ladder of accounts published on any official page, with balance bands and features by tier.
  • A single withdrawal period. The two documents diverge: the Public Offer speaks of three business days, extendable to 14; the Payment Policy speaks of five business days, with bank transfers of 3 to 45 business days and electronic methods "from seconds to days".
  • A clear corporate structure. The legal pages give an address in Costa Rica without naming the operating company; the name Pocket Investments S.R.L. appears as the developer in the store.

Marketing and contract

The reading rule that settles almost every doubt about this platform is a simple one: what is in a contractual document can be held to, what is in a promotional piece cannot. The 0% fee is advertised, but the Payment Policy itself warns that fees and commissions are set by the company and may change at any time, at its discretion, and that payment providers may charge separately. Reading the contract before believing the banner is not mistrust, it is procedure. The full assessment is in the review.

Money well documented, minimums, matching currency, an advertised fee, a specified KYC. Supervision, account tiers and a single withdrawal period are exactly what is not published.

Who it's for

The profile this catalogue describes is clear: someone who wants to get to know fixed-time contracts with little money and without installing anything. Someone who needs local regulatory protection does not find it here.

Closing with an address for each reader is more useful than closing with a note.

It serves well for

  • Those curious about the format. The free practice account allows the mechanics to be understood at no cost and with no commitment.
  • Those who use a phone as their main equipment. The Android app is the platform's best-documented channel.
  • Those who value a written rule. Minimums, withdrawal currency and document requirements are in contractual text and can be checked before any decision.

It does not serve

  • Those who want to invest and hold a position. There is no custody of the asset: the contract opens and closes.
  • Those who need a local complaints channel. There is no CVM authorisation and the contract points to the courts of Costa Rica.
  • Those who choose on a specific feature. If the decision depends on copy trading, on an indicator or on a course, there is no official documentation confirming how each of them works.

The point that decides before all the others

Pocket Option itself states, on its home page, its About Us page and its payment-methods page, that it does not provide service to residents of Brazil, listing the country alongside the European Economic Area, the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, the Philippines and Japan. On 4 October 2021 the CVM published an alert recording that Pro Trade LTD, Pocket Option and Gembell Limited had no authorisation from the agency to take on clients, and by Ato Declaratório CVM 19.121, of 28 September 2021, it ordered the immediate suspension of the circulation of any public offering to investors resident in Brazil; whether that act remains in force could not be confirmed. None of this describes fraud, it describes an absence of authorisation and a suspension order. The full picture is in regulation.

All the information, platform data and regulatory statements on this page were checked in September 2026 on Pocket Option's own site and in the alert published by the CVM in 2021; both the platform's terms and a regulator's position may change at any time.

A good shop window for getting to know fixed-time contracts with little money; a poor choice for anyone wanting custody, a documented specific feature or a local complaints forum. And the company states that it does not serve Brazil.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pocket Broker a real broker?

It is a platform for short-term contracts on the price of assets, and not a custody broker: there is no buying and holding of shares, currencies or cryptocurrencies. The name also deserves care — "Pocket Broker" is the Brazilian nickname for Pocket Option, and no registered company exists under that name.

How many assets does the platform offer?

The site advertises more than a hundred global assets, spread across currencies, cryptocurrencies, shares, commodities and indices. The consolidated list of instruments inside each category is not published on any official page, so complete lists put out by third parties cannot be confirmed.

Are there copy trading and educational material?

Those features appear in a great deal of third-party material, but none of the official pages consulted, home, About Us, Public Offer, Payment Policy and Risk Policy, details them. What is documented is the demo account, the Android app, browser access and the money rules. An undocumented feature can change without notice.

Does the platform charge fees?

It advertises 0% commission on deposits and withdrawals, and the methods page labels every option "Commission: 0%". The Payment Policy, however, records that fees and commissions are set by the company and may change at any time, at its discretion, and that payment providers may have charges of their own. No third-party fee table is published.

Can Brazilians use this broker?

The company itself states, on three pages of its site, that it does not provide service to residents of Brazil. Add to that the 2021 CVM alert about the absence of authorisation to take on clients in the country and the order suspending public offerings, whose current force could not be confirmed. This catalogue describes what the platform offers, not a route of access.
