Pocket Broker Common Problems and Fixes

Login and access

Access problems split into three quite different origins: the wrong credential, a context check by the platform and a restriction tied to the region the connection comes from. Only the first two are settled on your side.

Before going case by case, it is worth the triage that organises this whole page. Practically everything that jams on a trading platform belongs to one of these five families, and each has a different owner of the problem:

FamilyTypical symptomWho the solution depends on
AccessPassword refused, an extra confirmation, a session that dropsYou, in most cases
PaymentA deposit refused or not creditedThe bank, the card scheme or the intermediary provider
AppA blank screen, a freeze, a chart that does not loadThe device and the version installed
VerificationA document refused, a sign-up at odds with itThe platform's review, with a contractual period
SupportA ticket with no reply, a generic replyHow the ticket was written

Getting the family wrong is what makes someone reinstall the app three times to settle something that was an outstanding document. Always start with the question "whose problem is this?".

Wrong details

The most common cause of "invalid password" is not the password: it is the email. Keyboard autocorrect, a domain typed half way and an address similar to the one on the sign-up account for a good share of cases. It is worth checking the username field letter by letter before asking for any reset, and using the eye icon to see the password as typed.

A block by region

There is one access case that is not technical and for that reason responds to no browser adjustment. Pocket Option itself states, on its home page, its About Us page and its payment-methods page, that it does not provide service to residents of Brazil, which appears in that list alongside the European Economic Area, the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, the Philippines and Japan. In parallel, on 4 October 2021 the CVM published an alert recording that Pro Trade LTD, Pocket Option and Gembell Limited had no authorisation from the body to take on clients and, by Ato Declaratório CVM 19.121, of 28 September 2021, ordered the immediate suspension of the circulation of any public offering to investors resident in Brazil; whether that act remains in force in 2026 could not be confirmed. In other words: when something does not behave as expected from here, the explanation may not be in your device — and masking the origin of the connection goes against the terms published by the platform itself, besides creating exactly the discrepancy that jams identity verification later on.

Recovering the password

The reset always goes through the registered email, with a short-lived link. If the message does not arrive, the script is a short one: look in spam and promotions, confirm that the address typed is exactly the one on the sign-up and wait a few minutes before asking again, because each new request usually invalidates the previous link. The detail of the screens, of the new-device confirmations and of the fake pages that imitate the entry point is on the login page.

Check the email before the password, use the reset through the registered address and remember that the question of region is of another kind: the operator states that it does not serve residents of Brazil, and no technical adjustment changes that.

Deposit problems

A refused deposit is almost never a platform failure: the decision usually comes from the issuing bank, the card scheme or the intermediary provider that processes the transaction. The diagnosis starts by identifying who said no.

It is worth starting with the shape of the route, because it explains almost every symptom. Between you and the account there are at least three participants: the institution that sends the money, a payment provider that bridges the gap and the platform that credits the balance. Each can interrupt, and each interrupts with a different message.

A card or Pix refusal

When the refusal is immediate and comes with a message from the bank, the matter belongs to the bank: a limit, a precautionary block on international transactions or a merchant category restricted by the issuer's policy. When the screen simply returns to the start with no message, it is usually a discrepant detail in the form — a name different from the one on the card, for instance.

There is one point specific to Brazil that needs to be clear so as not to create a wrong expectation. Pix does appear on the platform's global payment-methods page, classified as a banking method. That means it is in the worldwide catalogue of options; it does not mean it is available to someone signing up from Brazil, and that availability could not be confirmed. The words "Brazil", "BRL" and "boleto" do not appear on that page, and the company itself states that it does not serve Brazilian residents — so that the catalogue and the reality of a user here are two distinct things.

A third-party delay

A deposit that leaves the account but does not appear in the balance is generally in transit, not lost. The time here belongs to the provider: the platform's Payment Policy acknowledges that, on electronic methods, "the transaction time may vary from seconds to days", while bank transfers can take a good deal longer. Repeating the payment in that interval is the classic mistake, because it creates two charges and a new problem.

Confirming the payment without creating confusion

  1. Keep the proof with the transaction identifier, the amount and the exact time.
  2. Check on the statement whether the amount really left or was only held.
  3. Wait out the method's period before any new attempt.
  4. If it still does not show, open a single ticket with the proof attached, rather than several parallel requests.

On costs, the platform advertises 0% commission on deposits and withdrawals, and all the methods listed appear with that marking; the Payment Policy, however, adds that fees and exchange are set by the company and may change at its discretion, and that providers may charge on their own account. How it all works is on the deposit page. Money in the opposite direction has a page of its own, dedicated to stuck withdrawals, and is not settled with the same steps.

Identify who refused before trying again, and never repeat the payment inside the method's period. Pix is listed in the global catalogue, which does not confirm availability for someone in Brazil.

App and performance

App failures are almost always an old version, a corrupted cache or an installation from an unofficial source. All three are settled on the device, in minutes, and in that order of effort.

One detail changes the whole diagnosis: if the same problem also appears in the browser, it is not the app's. Testing the account through the browser before touching the installation saves the afternoon.

Updating the version

An out-of-date version is the most frequent cause of a blank screen and of a chart that does not load. The official listing on Google Play, published under the package com.pocketoption.broker by the developer Pocket Investments S.R.L., records an update in August 2026, which shows active maintenance — and a device with automatic updates switched off accumulates months of lag without saying so.

Clearing the cache

The cache keeps temporary data to speed up opening, and it is precisely the cache that corrupts first. Clearing the app's cache in the Android settings, or the browsing data of the browser used, settles a good share of freezes without touching anything else. Note the difference: clearing the cache preserves the session in most cases, clearing the data wipes the login and forces you to sign in again.

Reinstalling

Reinstalling is the last step, not the first, and the care needed here is not technical but about origin. On its home page the platform publishes, besides the Google store, a direct APK download, an app reachable through the browser and a Telegram bot; no link to the App Store appears there, and no official iOS listing could be confirmed. An installation file downloaded from a third-party site, a group or a comment is the shortest route to losing your credentials, even if the icon looks identical.

The differences between each surface, the permissions requested and what tells you whether the installation is the official one are on the app page. And if you want to test whether the problem is with the account or the device without involving money, the demo environment opens on the same screens.

Test in the browser first, then update, then clear the cache and only then reinstall — always from an official origin, and never without first securing access to the registered email.

Verification problems

A refused verification rarely means suspicion: it is usually an illegible document, a sign-up that does not match the document or an incomplete submission. The fix is to resend exactly what was asked for.

This family of problem has a characteristic that misleads: it almost always appears late, at the moment the money needs to come out, although it was born on the day of the sign-up. That is why it is worth understanding what the official documents require.

What the platform asks for

The Public Offer requires the client to send scanned copies of documents confirming identity and actual residence. The Payment Policy asks for a scan or a photo of the identity document and a full copy of all its pages, and reserves to the company the right to request payment receipts, bank confirmation or a scan of the card. The period provided for is 10 business days from the request, extendable to 30 business days.

Why a document is refused

  • Legibility. A shaky photo, flash glare on the plastic, a cropped corner or low resolution.
  • Validity. An expired document, or one with the expiry date outside the frame.
  • Completeness. Sending one page when the policy asks for all the pages of the document.
  • A sign-up discrepancy. An abbreviated name, an old address or a date of birth different from the one on the document.
  • An unsuitable proof. A proof of address that is too old or in someone else's name.

Resending the right way

  1. Read the refusal message to the end: it normally says which item failed.
  2. Correct the sign-up first, if the discrepancy is there, and only then resend the image.
  3. Photograph on a neutral surface, with diffuse light and no flash, with the whole document inside the frame.
  4. Send everything that was asked for at once, rather than one file a day.
  5. Keep the date of the submission, because it is the reference for the contractual period.

It is worth knowing that this process connects directly to money coming out: the Payment Policy requires the withdrawal to be made in the same currency as the corresponding deposit, and the Public Offer sets a minimum withdrawal of 10 dollars. An account with an inconsistent sign-up jams at exactly that point. The step by step is in account verification.

A legible, complete document consistent with the sign-up settles most refusals. Correct the sign-up before resending the image, and count the period from the date of the submission.

Getting help fast

The speed of support depends less on the channel and more on the ticket: a request with the date, the amount, the device, the exact message and a screenshot avoids the exchange of generic messages that consumes days.

Platform support works by queue and by triage. A ticket that arrives already carrying the information the agent would ask for skips a whole round, and that tends to be worth more than pressing on several channels at once.

Choose the channel, and only one

Use the channels published inside the official domain itself or the app installed from it. The developer contact shown on the Google Play listing is [email protected]. Opening the same case in three different places speeds up nothing: it usually generates parallel reference numbers, mismatched replies and the impression, on the other side, that the matter is already being handled by someone else.

One rule holds for every channel, with no exception: legitimate support does not ask for your password. Profiles presenting themselves as "Pocket Broker support" in groups, comments and direct messages are not an official channel, because no company of that name exists — it is the nickname Brazilians use for Pocket Option.

What to include in the ticket

InformationWhy it shortens the handling
The registered emailLocates the account without a round of questions
The date and time of the occurrenceAllows the corresponding record to be found
The exact message on the screenTells a system error from an outstanding sign-up item
Device, system and versionRules the app hypothesis in or out
A screenshotRemoves the ambiguity of a description in words
The transaction identifierIndispensable on any payment matter

When to escalate

Escalating makes sense when the published period for that type of request has already passed, when the reply received bears no relation to the question asked or when the same case goes back to the start with each new message. At that point, what works is replying inside the same reference number, gathering the history into a single message and explicitly asking for a position on the outstanding item. Changing channel at that stage restarts the count.

All the information, platform data and regulatory statements on this page were checked in September 2026 on Pocket Option's own site and in the alert published by the CVM in 2021; both the platform's terms and a regulator's position may change at any time, and the pages cited can be read on the platform's official pages.

One channel, one reference number, all the information at once. Escalate by the published period, inside the same ticket, and be wary of any "support" that turns up outside the official channels.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my login refused even with the right password?

Most of the time the problem is in the email field, not the password one: keyboard autocorrect and a domain typed half way produce exactly the invalid-credential message. Check the address letter by letter and, if it still fails, use the reset through the registered email.

My deposit left my account and did not appear in the balance. What should I do?

Do not repeat the payment. The platform's Payment Policy acknowledges that, on electronic methods, the transaction time may vary from seconds to days, and bank transfers take longer. Keep the proof with the identifier and the time, wait out the method's period and, if it still does not show, open a single ticket with the proof attached.

Does Pix work for someone in Brazil?

Pix is listed on the platform's global payment-methods page, classified as a banking method. That is different from being available to a Brazilian user, and that availability could not be confirmed: "Brazil", "BRL" and "boleto" do not appear on that page, and the company itself states that it does not provide service to residents of Brazil.

The app freezes. Does reinstalling settle it?

Reinstalling is the last step. Test through the browser first to find out whether the problem is the app's, update the version installed and clear the cache. If you are going to reinstall, use only an official origin and first secure access to the registered email, because the new installation asks for a login and usually triggers a confirmation.

My document was refused at verification. Does that mean suspicion?

Normally not. The common causes are an illegible photo, an expired document, a partial submission when the policy asks for all the pages and a discrepancy between the sign-up and the document. Correct the sign-up first, retake the photo with diffuse light and send everything that was asked for at once.

How long does the platform have to review my documents?

The Payment Policy provides for 10 business days from the company's request, extendable to 30 business days. Keep the date of the submission, because that is when the period starts running, and use that marker to decide when it makes sense to escalate the ticket.
